Amanda Asciutto, MFT-LP
Accepting virtual clients.
My philosophy as a therapist is that no one is a problem to be solved and therapy is not a place to be “fixed.” I believe everyone deserves acceptance, curiosity, and support. Therapy can be a soft place to land, where you are met as you are and encouraged to offer yourself compassion.
I am an associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a background in art and literature, and I view therapy as a creative, collaborative process grounded in meaning and relationship. We create therapy together through trust and connection, by slowing down, reflecting, and exploring whatever arises week to week. I am non-judgmental and invite you to show up as your authentic self; I will do the same.
I am best suited for individuals who feel stuck despite self-awareness and are seeking a supportive, relational space rather than quick solutions. I often work with clients to break patterns created by trauma or chronic stress, which can include hyper-vigilance, negative self-talk, people-pleasing, perfectionism, emotional numbing, avoidance, to name a few.
I believe each of us holds an innate capacity for calm, connection, creativity, and compassion, which can re-emerge through safe, secure relationships.
